Ancient Kauri Wood Spindles

Jonathan's fascination with beautiful and rare woods interested him in ancient Kauri wood, many thousands of years old. Kauri is light in weight — Finished Midis range from 22-27 grams; Minis, 15-19 grams; Featherweight, 13-15 grams. Kauri is a beautiful 'napped' wood, a deep warm cinnamon brown when looking 'down the grain;' a lighter amber color when looking 'up the grain.' The price of these is $55 for a Midi, $45 for a Mini or Featherweight. Add $3 for a shaft in Cherry or $12 for a shaft in Cochin Rosewood, Tulipwood, Bocote or Bloodwood.
