Weight range: 1.3-2 oz, depending on the wood.

Our Maxis are the perfect weight for beginners, or for thicker yarns. They also make excellent plying spindles. Let us know your preference or ask what is in stock when you order.  

These Maxis are finished with Orford Cedar shafts and ready to go.  

Weight guide: 35 g = 1.25; 45 g = 1.6 oz, 56 g = 2 oz
32-36 g:  White Oak
37-40 g:  Canarywood, Cherry
41-44 g:  Birds Eye Maple, Red Oak, Walnut, Zebrawood
45-48 g:  none
49-52 g:  Pau Amarillo
53-56 g:  Bocote, Morado, Tulipwood
57+ g:    Bloodwood, Tulipwood,  Zircote

Shafts: Standard Orford Cedar shafts, no charge.
Hand-tuned Cherry or Walnut shaft, add $15; hardwood shaft, add $18.
Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks waiting time for whorls ready to go..

Shipping costs will be added on our end; Priority Mail begins at $5.20/1 pound package within the US; we will provide an USPS estimate on International orders.  We will confirm the final costs prior to requesting payment.
