Our Midis™ are the most popular in size, and we make these in the widest range of beautiful and colorful woods. Spinners love Tulipwood, Zebrawood, Bloodwood and Birds Eye Maple; others love rarer woods like Pink Ivory, Gabon Ebony, and Cochin Rosewood. Please ask what is in stock when you order! Some rare woods* are difficult and expensive to obtain, and may be higher in price.

Premium Midi woods include Afezelia, Amboyna, Ambrosia Maple, Black Palm, Boxwood, Cocobolo, Ebonies, Olivewood, Osage Orange, Pink Ivory, Rosewoods, Silver Wattle, Sumac, Thuya, and occasional burls in limited supply; not all woods available at all times. Colors may vary by monitor; different boards have varying color intensities and grain.

 
These Midi™ spindles are finished with standard Birch shafts and ready to go now.

Shaft Option:  Hand-turned hardwood shaft, $15, in Bloodwood, Bocote, Cherry, Cochin Rosewood, Kingwood, Morado, Tulipwood, or Walnut; $20 in Ebony when available. We do our best to finish these as quickly as possible; please allow at least 2 weeks waiting time once we have a whorl ready to finish.

Premium Midis™: Finished Premium Midis™ are $65 each with a standard Birch shaft, $80-85 with a hand-turned shaft. We're happy to to suggest a wood to complement or contrast with the whorl of your choice. USPS rates increased slightly on January 4, 2010.  Domestic shipping for a 1-pound package is $5.30-6.10, depending on postal zone; $5.20 when a USPS Flat Rate envelope or small box is appropriate.

International packages are sent by USPS 1st Class International (Charkhas & Journey Wheels sent by Priority or Express Mail with insurance), $4.55 to Canada for a 12 oz package; $9.50 to Europe, Asia and Australia.  A shipping estimate is always included with confirmation of your order.
