Jonathan is often inspired to make spindle whorls out of rare and difficult to locate woods. If you're on our Special Spindles List, you'll hear about these first! We send these notices about every 8-10 weeks; the list will include finished spindles and whorls ready for the shaft of your choice. No matter what the whorls are made from, you can be assured they are beautiful — and spin like a tornado!

We've changed the way our WishList is handled:  you may ask to be put on our WishList for any wood at any time.  Please specify the size — Featherweight, Mini, or Midi — you're looking for and we'll notify you when on becomes available.  We consult this list regularly, and try to include 8-10 requested whorls in each week's turning.

Kauri Spindles: They're back!  We are keeping a waiting list for these.

Mammoth Tusk &  Mammoth Tooth Spindles: Production on hold until stabilization issues resolved.  We are not taking requests for these spindles at this time.
